Jens Lehmann was born on 10 November 1969 in Essen. Jens Lehmann is a German football goalkeeper who plays for Arsenal. Jens Lehmann was voted UEFA Club Goalkeeper of the Year for the 1996–97 and 2005–06 seasons, and he has been selected for three World Cup squads. On 17 March 2011, Jens Lehmann signed a short-term contract with Arsenal
German international Lehmann originally signed for Arsenal from Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund in July 2003 and went on to make 199 first team appearances for the Gunners.
During his first spell with Arsenal, Jens Lehmann played in every match of the Club’s unbeaten league campaign in 2003/04, when he was awarded the Premier League Golden Glove Award for his integral part in the ‘Invincibles’ season.As well as winning the Premier League title in 2003/04, Jens Lehmann won the Community Shield in 2004 and also an FA Cup winner’s medal in 2005, when he famously saved from Paul Scholes in the victorious penalty shoot-out.
